My First Week

I wasn't too happy about my first bath, but I did enjoy getting my full head of hair washed

Scrub-a-dub dub Callie in the tub!
After 2 nights in the hospital it was time to pack up and head home with my Mommy & Daddy!
Getting all dressed up

On Tuesday it was time for my first outing to go to the doctor to see how I was doing. Everything was great and I am back up to my birth weight already! Since they made me get naked I paid the nurse back by pooping on the scale :)
Waiting on the doctor

Since we were right next door we stopped by to visit Dr. Walker, mommy's doctor that delivered me.
The first person that ever got to hold me!

Even though I don't sleep in my crib at night yet, I still tested it out for a nap
I think I like it in here

When Mommy was pregnant I used to hear something barking, well I figured out it was actually my big brother. Dexter has been really good with me and likes to cuddle.

Happy girl!

On Thursday it was time for me to show off my modeling skills at my newborn pictures done. We can't wait to see them in a few weeks!
Practicing my smile on the way there

I have had a busy week and have been a very good girl. Check back next week for another update.

Your 1st Breath Took Ours Away

On Thursday at my doctor's appointment the choice for an induction was made to get our bundle of joy here a little faster. We were set to arrive at the hospital at 7 am the next morning. We had 16 hours to finish packing our hospital bags, enjoy our last meal together, and attempt to get a little sleep.

We arrived at the hospital and pitocin was started around 8 am. Things started to pick up slowly, but nothing too intense. Around noon, Dr. Walker came by the see how things were progressing. As soon as she walked in the room my water broke and that's when active labor began. By 5:45 pm I was ready to start pushing and our lives were forever changed a little over an hour later. At 6:51 pm Callie Rebecca Joyner took her first breath weighing 6 pounds 8 ounces and 19.25 inches long. It was love at first sight!

The sweetest sound we have ever heard!
