My 1st Christmas!

I must have been a really good girl this year because Santa spoiled me rotten! I enjoyed opening my presents, playing with the wrapping paper, and the toys inside weren't too bad either.

5 Months!

I am 5 months old today! This month has been a big one for change. I have learned how to sit up all by myself (still a little wobbly and fall a lot), I babble all the time, I can roll over (both ways), and I laugh when people smile at me! I am wearing 6 month clothes & size 2 diapers, enjoy splashing around during bath time, and sleep about 10 hours every night..yeah I know, the perfect baby!

Happy 30th Daddy!

My Daddy is 30 years old! I'm not even 30 weeks old yet! I am happy I got to celebrate with him and help him open his presents..I love to play with wrapping paper. Last year on Daddy's birthday they went for their first ultrasound to watch my heartbeat. I was about the size of a grain of rice then and now I am pushing 16 pounds! I guess we should be thankfully Daddy didn't put on as much weight as I did in a year :)

My 1st Turkey Day

I am thankful for my Mommy, Daddy, Dexter, naps, bottles, my pacifier, toys, cuddling, and all the love I get! I had a great 1st Thanksgiving with my family. I can't wait for next year when I can actually eat some of the food that smelled so yummy! We were blessed to spend Thanksgiving with both sides of the family and went to visit Ryan at the Duke NICU on Thanksgiving night..after all I am thankful for my future husband!

Thankful

I am officially on Thanksgiving break which means I get 10 days to spend every second with Callie! This afternoon I sat with her on the floor in her room for an hour playing, talking, laughing, and completely amazed by how much she has changed. Sometime during this hour I glanced up above her crib and saw the Bible verse we put up on the wall when we were getting her room ready, well before she would be here

For this child we prayed & God has granted us -1 Samuel 1:27

It's been there for the 18 weeks she has been home and I am sure I have read it, but today I had time to really let it soak in. On Wednesday (November 20th) we celebrated the 1 year anniversary of finding out we were going to be parents. I can remember that day perfectly. It was a day of excitement, love, and thankfulness that started a 9 month journey. The positive test, seeing and hearing her heartbeat for the first time, finding out she was a girl, and feeling her kick..we were blessed with a perfect pregnancy. On July 19th, at 6:51 pm, I delivered a healthy, beautiful little girl that was perfect in every way. That night I watched her sleep all night long..didn't close my eyes and couldn't even if I wanted to. I had just been given the biggest blessing I could ask for. She was forever mine and I was forever hers. As she laid on the floor today, giggling with me I was reminded that every single second I get to spend with her is a blessing I don't deserve. As we approach Thanksgiving remember to be thankful everyday for everything.

18 weeks later!

At the top of my long to-do list over break is to work on her baby book. Today I got it out and looked through her ultrasound pictures with her.

"Mommy, what are you talking about? I have only grown up a little bit!"

4 month checkup

This week has been a big week for me. I got to see my 1st snow, attempted to eat with a spoon, and had a checkup. Today I went for my 4 month well baby visit (4 days early) & I checked out perfectly. I LOVE stripping down to my diaper...& that crinkly paper is so much fun to roll around on. I weighed in at 13.5 pounds (doubled my birth weight plus an extra 1/2 pound) and I am 25.5 inches long! I had to get shots which I was not a fan of, but I guess no one likes them!

I ask that you continue to pray for baby Ryan. He has had a few setbacks this week. I need him healthy, happy, and home ASAP so we can plan our 1st Disney Trip together (shhh...don't tell our parents about that yet)!

3 & 1/2 Months

I was planning on having a monthly update after my 3 month birthday, but I wanted to check in with everyone a little early. Better early than late, right? :)

Any day now she will have her first tooth! She is chewing on everything, drooling by the gallon, and we can see it coming up. It's amazing how fast time flies by! Please continue to pray for my little Ryan! :)
